English Braille American Edition (EBAE) 英文點字美國版，為 Braille Authority of North America (BANA) 北美點字管理局於 1959 年發佈，並在之後陸續修訂；Unified English Braille Code (UEBC) 統一英文點字為 BANA 在 1992 年開始制定，在 1993 年為 International Council on English Braille (ICEB) 國際英文點字委員會所採納並擴大，試圖統一英語系國家的點字規則，並於 2004 年宣佈為國際標準。
本筆記參考 [ICEB] Rules of Unified English Braille UEB 及其中譯本 110年點字改革之國內與國外UEB整理及比較計畫成果報告全文組合 ，將 Section 10 Contractions 一章中的縮寫符號整理成表格供查閱(未附規則與範例)。
